Boels taps Battery Innovation
Volvo Penta has partnered with e-power to provide a scalable Battery energy storage system (Bess) for Boels Rental, a construction equipment rental company. At the core is Volvo Penta’s Bess subsystem – a integration-ready DC platform including battery packs, thermal management, safety features, and communication interfaces.
The compact unit, built by e-power, supports flexible, low-emission energy use and is optimized for transport. Boels, already using Volvo Penta-powered generators, is advancing its sustainability goals through electrification. The collaboration combines Volvo Penta’s system flexibility, e-power’s integration expertise, and Boels’ rental know-how to accelerate energy transition in construction logistics. (js)
