Boaz Levy as IAI's new CEO
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has approved the search committee's recommendation to nominate Boaz Levy (photo) as IAI's CEO.
The nomination will be submitted to the minister of defence, Benjamin Gantz, and to the minister for cyber & national digital matters, Dudi Amsalem.
With his over 30 years of service at IAI, Levy will succeed Nimrod Sheffer, who stepped down as CEO on 30 October 2020. Previous to this role, Levy held various positions within IAI.
He joined the company in 1990 as an engineer for the arrow project and became, in 1999, the project's chief engineer. Later, Levy was also general manager of IAI's air defence division and subsequently appointed vice president of the systems missiles and space group.
Levy's technological developments became cornerstones of Israel's defence and several have won the Israel defence prize presented each year. (amh)
