Blue Dart Express names new CEO
Balfour Manuel takes on the role of CEO of the India-based logistics provider Blue Dart Express with immediate effect. He is tasked with charting the company’s next chapter of growth.
Manuel, a Blue Dart veteran of over 35 years, has been instrumental in company’s success since it was established. The long-serving employee’s most recent position was senior vice-president in charge of Blue Dart’s business-to-business customers. Manuel replaces the former CEO, Anil Khanna, who is leaving the organisation after more than twelve years at the helm. Khanna will become an additional non-executive director of the company.
During the year ending 31 March 2018, Blue Dart Express handled over 196 million domestic shipments, 1 million international shipments and over 697,000 t of documents and parcels across India and 220 countries and territories worldwide. (mw)
