Bimco revises Synacomex charter
Bimco's documentary committee has approved a revised Synacomex continent grain charter party to adapt to changes in the geopolitical landscape driven by events like the Covid-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
The updated charter party now includes Bimco's anti-corruption clause and updated versions of the war risks and sanctions clauses. Synacomex 2023, developed jointly with Armateurs de France, serves as an up-to-date and industry-tested standard for grain traders, with adjustments in commercial utilization and the removal of its "box layout."
This collaborative effort underscores Bimco's commitment to enhancing contractual standards and supporting the global grains and seeds trade. (pb)
