Bilbao: 20 years of telematics platform
The Port Authority of Bilbao is celebrating 20 years of its digital platform E-puertobilbao, a critical tool for efficient port management. Evolving from a single service with 30 companies, it now offers 20 services to around 800 companies, enhancing efficiency, security, and traceability in port operations.
This platform has fostered a community that relies on electronic data exchange, streamlining processes, and reducing waiting times, contributing to a transparent, efficient, and sustainable work environment. Txaber Goiri, director of the digital transformation department, emphasised its evolution and customer-centred approach.
The E-puertobilbao platform optimises communications and interactions among various port companies, focusing on simplification, information reuse, uniformity, electronic automation, and transparency. It supports various services like port call management, hazardous goods management, and customs processes, ensuring data protection and contributing significantly to the Port of Bilbao's competitive and sustainable operations.
