Bigger vessels between Ventspils and Stockholm
Stena Line is expanding in the Baltic Sea by introducing two extended vessels on the Ventspils–Stockholm Norvik Port route in 2021. The first vessel, the ‘Stena Scandica’, increases freight capacities on the route by 30%. Expansion will continue in 2022, with two new vessels increasing freight capacities by another 25%.
Johan Edelman, Stena Line’s trade director managing routes to and from Latvia, pointed out that “we’re looking forward to continuing these expansion measures next year, when two new vessels will enter operations.” Fredrik Lindstål, chairman of the board of the ports of Stockholm, was happy to “warmly welcome the ‘Stena Scandica’ to Stockholm Norvik Port.”
