Bifa fortifies policy and compliance team
The British International Freight Association (Bifa) has reorganised its policy and compliance team following the retirement of David Stroud.
Pawel Jarza, previously frontier policy manager, will now handle airfreight matters. Jarza has a master’s degree in international trade relations and brings over 20 years of experience in customs compliance with him.
Igor Popovics, who joined BIFA in 2022 from the London Chamber of Commerce, will take full responsibility for customs and frontier issues. Meanwhile, Jamie McKean has been promoted to policy adviser for sustainable logistics. A law graduate from the University of Reading, McKean will support Bifa’s growing focus on environmental and sustainability topics. His promotion reflects the increasing significance of sustainable logistics for Bifa members. (ah)
