Bengel promoted at VTG
Hamburg-based VTG AG, a leading international wagon hire and rail logistics company with more than 94,000 railcars in its fleet, has promoted Sascha Bengel to head of its activities in the western hemisphere in the business unit Silk Road and project logistics. Bengel, previously team leader for project logistics in Berlin, has replaced Klaus Lutze, who retiring early at his own request at the end of the year.
Bengel, who has more than a decade of professional experience in the logistics sector under his belt, is keen to strengthen the division’s network with other VTG business units. From 2006 to 2013, Bengel was in charge of special transports at Kuehne + Nagel Rail Chemnitz; in 2013 he moved to VTG Rail Logistics, a joint venture between VTG and Kuehne + Nagel.
