Benefits from synergies
The Lithuanian private and corporate jet charter company Klasjet has added cargo services to its portfolio by collaborating with the Icelandic cargo airline Bluebird Nordic. The latter company’s newly acquired B737-300 will enable Klasjet to carry out cargo services globally.
Both companies are members of the Avia Solutions Group, just like Avion Express and Chapman Freeborn which have teamed up to bring A320 and A231 fleets to the cargo market, especially by playing a small part in increasing the UK’s (and its European neighbours’) ability to bring in additional protective equipment.
This recent project comes shortly after similar arrangements with in-house cargo operator, Magma Aviation – utilising its fleet of B747-400F to support the demand created following the travel ban into the USA.
More about synergies to increase capacities in ITJ 19-20/2020 out today, 30 April 2020, including an exclusive interview with Reto Hunziker, group cargo & OBC sales director, Chapman Freeborn. (ah)
