Baskakov withdraws from helm
Alexander Baskakov, director of Rail Cargo Logistics-RUS, the Russian representative office of Austrian Railways' subsidiary Rail Cargo Group (RCG), stepped down from his position on 30 July. The current director, Andrey Detinkin, who has been working for Rail Cargo Logistics-RUS since its foundation, will continue to manage the company on his own.
From 2003 to 2011, Detinkin headed branches in Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg, before being appointed director in 2012. From late 2017 to the present, he shared the management of the company with Baskakov.
The company is planning to launch a container train from Milan to Moscow (Belyi Rast Container Terminal) in the near future and to increase the number of trains from Xi'an, China, and other cities to the Budapest hub, from where cargo is distributed across Europe. (amh)
