Barker to head Dnata's airport ops
Dnata has promoted David Barker to divisional senior vice president (DSVP) for airport operations. Barker has been with the global air and travel services provider, which is part of the Emirates Group, for over six years, currently leading the company’s extensive airport operations in the USA as CEO.
In his new role he will oversee Dnata’s global ground handling and cargo business at 91 airports in 14 countries, managing a team of over 23,000 aviation professionals.
Barker will be based in Dubai, UAE, and report to Dnata's EVP Steve Allen. He will assume his new role on 1 August, replacing Stewart Angus who decided to leave Dnata for family reasons, after 16 years at the company.
In the financial year 2020-21 Dnata handled 290,000 aircraft and moved 2.7 million t of cargo. (amh)
