Back to London, soon with maindeck capacity?

Rwandair will resume London and Brussels flights from tomorrow, 3 October 2020, as it reinstates its passenger network. The resumption of European services will see the central African carrier switch its UK operations from Gatwick, with commercial flights to Kigali now departing from Heathrow for the first time.

From 20 March through to 31 July, Rwandair suspended all flights, with the exception of freight-only operations to China, to carry critical medical supplies as well as other essential cargo, using its two A330.

The airline might eye to make use of a real full freighter soon, since Qatar is interested in investing in the country's new airport, expected to open for business in 2022, and Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker earlier mentioned his company's interest in a 49% stake in Rwandair. (ah)
