AV Dawson's director to drive business growth strategy
AV Dawson, which owns and operates a 404,686 sqm port and logistics facility in Middlesbrough, has promoted Charlie Nettle from his previous role as head of commercial and marketing to a new directorial position on the board to help drive forward the business’ growth strategy.
Making use of his strong links in the commercial and marketing sectors, Nettle has responsibility for developing new markets and building long term sustainable growth. He joined the business in November 2015 with a remit to develop a marketing and communication function. The development in his knowledge of the freight and logistics industry led him to support commercial activities and build customer relationships.
In addition to his directorship at AV Dawson Nettle will continue in his roles as chair of the North East branch of Chartered Institute of Marketing, vice chair of Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind and secretary of the Tees and Hartlepool port users’ association. (mw)
