Authorising a cross-border player
The Turkey-based Kita Logistics has obtained its authorised economic operator (AEO) licence. The certification is valid as of March 2024 and will facilitate the company’s customs processes.
The AEO programme was launched by the World Customs Organisation in 2007 and seeks to ensure safe and efficient global trade. As a logistics player involved in export operations, Kita Logistics will greatly benefit from the AEO licence.
It enables to provide more efficient customs services and speed up transit times. The company has already started sending various trailers from its fleet to European destinations. Kita Logistics CEO Ms. Sevdil Yildirim: “We have gone through a rigorous inspection process to obtain our licence and we are ready to serve our clients more efficiently with our AEO licence.” (mk)
