Australians continue European expansion
Vlad Bilanovsky (left), CEO of Wisetech Global, the Sydney-headquartered creator of the logistics execution software "Cargowise", and Pedro Bacelar, CEO of Singeste - Sistemas de Informática, a Portuguese developer of IT solutions for the customs sector, have concluded Wisetech's acquisition of Singeste.
Founded in 1986 and headquartered near Lisbon, Singeste’s flagship solution “Gidwin” communicates directly with the country's tax and customs authority, to facilitate customs processes for customs brokers and freight forwarders. Its customers include freight forwarders and shippers that operate in Portugal, such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, MSC and Expeditors.
Wisetech has strengthens its presence in Europe in recent years and taken over logistics services providers such as Sisa, Shipamax or Aktiv Data. (ah)
