Atran takes over two more B737-800BCF
Volga-Dnepr Group member, express cargo carrier Atran Airlines took delivery of two 737-800 Boeing converted freighter from GE Capital Aviation Services (Gecas) in May.
They join the two B737-800BCF freighters both partners announced in October of 2018 and which entered service in March and October of 2019, adding further capacity to the airline’s short- and mid-range routes linking Europe, China, Russia and the CIS.
With over 60 B737-800BCF on order, Gecas is the largest customer of the type for Boeing’s conversion programme. The narrow-body freighter carries up to 23.5 t of cargo.
Vitaliy Andreev, general director of Atran Airlines: "It constitutes the backbone of our fleet and additional planes will enable us to provide more solutions and guarantee high-quality services to our customers." (ah)
