Associations bundle forces in Brussels
The road transport associations of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany and France are founding a joint office in Brussels. The respective representatives are scheduled to move into the office on 1 August. Dirk Engelhardt, CEO of the German entity BGL, said: "The increase in collaboration between our associations clearly adds value for the road haulage industry. The years of excellent partnership work is manifested in the single office.” Erik Østergaard, president of the Nordic Logistic Association, added: “We aim to promote three mobility packages to ensure that our industry remains competitive as we transition to a more sustainable and digital transport world in a socially balanced environment.” The associations represent a total of around 28,000 companies.
