Asia–Finland trains almost weekly

Russian Railways Logistics (RZDL), Fesco and Nurminen Logistics have launched a regular intermodal service for the delivery of Finland Bridge containers between the Asia-Pacific region and Finland along the Trans-Siberian Railway.

The first batch of 62 40 ft containers with various cargos was dispatched by Fesco sea services from three Chinese ports – Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao – to Russia’s Vladivostok port.

An accelerated train was then formed and dispatched to Vuosaari (Finland). The transit time for delivery on this route is 25 days, which is 1.5 times faster than the route through the Suez Canal. Shipments will be dispatched 3 to 4 times a month. (ben)
