ASI service to boost Pakistan’s trade
Pakistan International Container Terminal (Pict), International Container Terminal Services (Ictsi), and Sealead, a Singaporean shipping line, have joined forces to establish a direct transport link between Pakistan and Australia. The new service is called ASI and enables easy and efficient connections between markets in South Asia and Australia.
“With our partnership with Sealead, customers in both Pakistani and Australian markets will benefit through direct port linkages that enable economies to grow,” Khurram Aziz Khan, Pict chief executive officer, said.
Pict looks to strengthen trade patronage with global customers and cater to growing trade demands and hopes to boost Pakistan’s foreign trade with imprroved access to and from Australian markets. (lh)
