APM Terminals Poti appoints MD
Christian Roeder will succeed Julián Fernández as managing director of APM Terminals Poti, Georgia, effective 6 June 2024, and will join the company's European regional leadership team.
Roeder joined the Maersk Group in 2000 as a Maersk international shipping trainee. From 2003 to 2011, he worked for the group in various countries. Between 2008 and 2009 he was managing director of Maersk Georgia.
Roeder has extensive understanding and experience with the terminal's business, customers, and stakeholder landscape. Throughout his career, he held various senior leadership roles, such as country manager of Damco Mozambique, and managing director and chief commercial officer of external transport and logistics companies. He was appointed CEO of DP World in Mozambique in 2020. (cj)
