Antonov Airlines: grateful and resilient
Today, one year after Russia began its invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022, Dmytro Prosvirin, commercial director of Antonov Airlines, gave us an exclusive interview which appears in full in our next issue, ITJ 11-12/2023 of 3 March.
Prosvirin said that he was grateful for the support of the partners, and underlined that, remaining the largest operator of An-124-100 aeroplanes in the world, the company does its "best to maintain high levels of customer services and to guarantee businesses and governments the safe transportation of their valuable cargo around the globe".
The fleet is now based securely at Leipzig Halle airport in Germany, but Prosvirin points out that this is a temporary move: "After a Ukrainian victory in this war and the restoration of Kyiv Antonov 2 airport, Antonov Airlines’ fleet will return to its home in Hostomel." (ah)
