Another rail service for Moscow
The new train connects the Selyatino rail station in the Moscow region with Ekaterinburg, a major commercial centre in the Urals, Russia, in 2.5 days. The new service, launched by Transcontainer, will operate ten trains per month and supplement the existing service from Moscow’s Kuntsevo rail station.
By adding another point of departure, Transcontainer can evenly distribute the cargo between the two terminals, the provider said. In addition, the service helps balance export-import cargo flows on the Russian Railways network by optimising the use of the rolling stock available. The first train from Selyatino station delivered 120 teu with consolidated goods to Ekaterinburg. (ben)
