Another player goes to Swiss Post
Swiss Post has acquired 100% of the shares of the forwarding company H. Bucher Internationale Transporte, based in Alpnach, canton of Obwalden. It is a regionally based transport company employing a staff of 47. The forwarder has a vehicle fleet of 34 trucks and specialises in domestic and international European transports.
With targeted investments and acquisitions, Swiss Post is securing resources such as storage facilities, vehicles, and skilled staff. Johannes Cramer, head of logistics services at Swiss Post and member of the executive management: “With H. Bucher, we’re strengthening our presence in Central Switzerland. The acquisition allows us to expand our connections on the axis between major economic areas in Germany and Italy. (sh)
