Another hub for Poste Italiane
Poste Italiane has inaugurated a logistics centre in Landriano, Lombardy (Italy). The parcel and sorting hub is part of an investment of EUR 60 million to strengthen the player's e-commerc capabilities, amongst others.
The facility covers 40,000 sqm of indoor space and can sort and handle about 300,000 parcels a day. Autonomous mobile sorting technology with robots is part of the concept. 174 docking places for vehicles were installed. The new hub expands Poste Italiane’s network, which also include hubs in Bologna, Piacenza and Rome. (sh)
