Another China-Europe freight train takes to the rails
The Xiangyang-Xi'an-Europe shipping route officially kicked off with the first departure of a freight train from Xiangyang in China's Hubei province. The train arrived in Xi'an, Shaanxi province 36 hours later, and its freight was transferred to the Chang'an China Railway Express (CRE).
The freight train is now passing through Xi'an customs and will exit China through the Khorgas Port and then head for Hungary or Germany via Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and Poland.
The first Xiangyang-Xi'an-Europe CRE freight train carried cargo worth over USD 5.74 million from Xiangyang. The goods include automobile bearings, engines, other car parts, clothing, and general merchandise. (ben)
