Another big player for Vacad
Georgi Handling, another industry heavyweight, has joined the German Air Cargo Handlers Association (Vacad). The air cargo handler, which operates in Frankfurt and Leipzig, expanded its capacities this year. After Dnata and CHI Aviation Handling, Georgi Handling is the third well-known Vacad newcomer in 2023.
Georgi Handling currently processes around 130,000 t of freight per year at its Frankfurt (Cargo City South) and Leipzig/Halle sites with around 150 employees and 35,000 sqm of space, and the trend is rising. In addition to the DHL subsidiary European Air Transport Leipzig, customers include Vietnam Airlines and Air France-KLM.
"Vacad gives a voice to the process section of the supply chain that is relevant to us - air freight handling - and represents the industry in a solution-orientated and sustainable manner," says Diana Schöneich, managing director of Georgi Handling. (cj)
