An intermodal JV in the Balkans
The Rail Cargo Group (RCG), an Austrian railway logistician, and the Serbian forwarder Transfera have signed an agreement to found a joint venture. Based in Belgrade (Serbia), it will initially focus on the development of intermodal logistics solutions, with the portfolio to be expanded to include conventional transport at a later date.
RCG set up a carrier company in Belgrade in January 2023 and has been running international transport operations in Serbia since then. Transfera specialises in multimodal transport. It generated a turnover of around EUR 100 million in 2023 and operates 30 branches in Serbia and abroad. (ben)
