An eventful spring congress
At this year’s spring congress, the Association of European Vehicle Logistics (ECG) brought almost 300 members together to discuss the sector’s developments and growth.
Between the 23 and 24 May, members gathered in Baveno, Italy, including Ford, Renault Group, Toyota Motor Europe, and many more. Many of these members showed a readiness to work together on a standardised reporting tool for carbon emissions as well as technological advances and operational efficiency. With growing membership numbers – which were up by 30% last year – ECG sees potential for collaboration in many aspects of vehicle logistics.
In addition to various discussions and events, the association elected a new board of directors and chose Mark Hindley as vice president. Up next for ECG is its 2024 conference, which will be held in Hamburg, Germany, from 24 to 25 October. (mk)
