Amazon moves into Jade-Weser-Park
Panattoni is taking on another project for Amazon Logistics. The new distribution centre will be built in the Jade-Weser-Park, the inter-municipal industrial estate in Wilhelmshaven (Lower Saxony, Germany), situated in close proximity to the Jade Weser Port.
On a 63,786 sqm site, Panattoni is setting up a facility with 6,895 sqm logistics space and 1,422 sqm office space and social areas. The new hub, which Amazon will use for handling its last mile logistics in the B2C segment, has good connections with international transport networks.
"We are especially delighted with the new project in the Jade-Weser-Park. With the Jade Weser Port, Wilhelmshaven has Germany' only deep- water port and a robust economy spanning all sectors," says Fred-Markus Bohne managing partner of Panattoni. The distribution centre is set to be completed in early 2021. (mw)
