Amazon building in Bremen
Goodman and Amazon are adding another chapter to their collaboration book: The real estate specialist is building new premises in Bremen (Germany) for the mail order company.
An around 12,500 sqm logistics centre and a multi-storey car park will be built on an approximately 38,000 sqm tract of land at Bremen’s freight transport centre. The facility is slated for completion in autumn this year.
Amazon will initially create some 130 jobs. More than 400 drivers who work for delivery partners will be responsible for the deliveries.
Goodman is also building a multi-storey car park with 277 parking slots for Amazon's own delivery vans. The car park will provider swifter access to the delivery fleet and thus step up last mile efficiency. The logistics centre also includes a 1,200 sqm mezzanine for offices and a 3,700 sqm canopy. (mw)
