Alternatively fuelled trucks for sensitive areas
A Scania gas refuse truck is now operating in the narrow streets of Vilnius, Lithuania. Ekonovus, the waste management company entrusted with operating in Vilnius, has invested in a compressed gas Scania L 340 refuse truck. With its low-entry cab and outstanding driver visibility, the truck has been specifically designed for tight and congested cities.
The first compressed gas trucks will serve the densely populated and most environmentally sensitive areas, such as Vilnius Old Town, which is placed on the UNESCO world heritage list. Ekonovus plans to invest in more Scania low-entry trucks for to be deployed across the country. (ben)
