Almost 200,000 transports in 2021
The transport company Asstra increased its turnover by 30% year-on-year to EUR 460.4 million in 2021. Gross profit improved by 21% to EUR 39.9 million. Almost 196,000 transports were handled on the company’s network via 1,000 destination trade lanes, with full load transports (139,000) dominating. The company transported mainly dry food and non-food products, chemical products as well as household appliances and electronics.
In monetary terms, project logistics (+271), customs clearance services (+228%) and general cargo transport (+161%) were the fastest growing products for the Asstra group in 2021 compared to 2020.
The group expanded its branch network to Tampa, USA, last year. It is planning to open representative offices in Tbilisi (Georgia), Sofia (Bulgaria), Valencia and Madrid (Spain) this year. (sh)
