All ready for Astra Zeneca spread in Abu Dhabi
The department of health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), the emirate's regulator for the healthcare sector, has joined forces with Rafed, the UAE’s primary group purchasing organisation (GPO) for essential medical equipment, is going new ways in logistics to procure Astra Zeneca’s (AZD7442) medication.
For the distribution of the vaccine, the partners have established a supply chain process via the Rafed Distribution Centre, a major facility specialised in cold-storage in the region.
This collaboration between DoH, Rafed and AstraZeneca is another important milestone for healthcare, logistics and supply chain entities that continue to contribute to the evolution of Abu Dhabi’s medical sector. (sh)
