Alha and Emirates warming up again
On 15 July 2020, Emirates restarted regular flights to/from Rome FCO, and its cargo operations are now back on track as usual, with a primary focus on controlled-temperature services for pharma products.
Alha, as the airline's local cargo handling partner, is providing advanced services for pharmaceutical products, including controlled-temperature tarmac transportation between the Alha Cool Centre and EK aircraft with the Alha "CoolBox".
Powered by state-of-the-art hybrid engines, this device is the largest cool dolly on the market, offering two cooling rooms with separate cooling systems to provide full flexibility and 100% independent temperature range settings.
Danilo Bonfanti, Emirates’ cargo manager for Italy: "We are firmly committed to developing fit for purpose infrastructure for specialised cargo in the markets we operate." (ah)
