Aldi adds in Lower Saxony
Effective 6 September, Aldi Nord is moving its operations into a new expanded logistics site at Lehrte-Aligse. It now totals 42,800 sqm with space for logistics, offices and administration. A cold chamber ensures the safe storage of fruits and vegetables. With this enhanced capacity, Aldi can supply 77 shops in Lower Saxony (Germany), starting from 9 September.
From 2025, 57 more outlets will be added to the Lehrte network. Because many employees lived close to the previous site, the company decided to move to a property just 11 km, staying in the city of Lehrte.
The hub will initially supply Hanover, Wolfsburg, Peine and Südheide with Salzgitter, Braunschweig, and other shops to follow at a later date. (mk)
