Albatros Express now also goes to Denmark

TFG Transfracht, a subsidiary of DB Cargo, has expanded its maritime hinterland network by adding Albatros Express services to Denmark.

From now on, customers can also ship their containers from the marshalling yard in Maschen (Germany) to Denmark and back on eco-friendly trains instead of using trucks or feeder ships.

The containers are transported daily on DB Cargo Scandinavia trains. The train initially calls at Taulov, Hoje Taastrup, Aarhus, Esbjerg and Aalborg in Denmark. The first train carried tiles and groupage freight from Bremerhaven and Hamburg to central Denmark. Compared to road transport, this rail journey saved almost 1.8 kg of CO2. (ben)
