Air Caraïbes welcomes Hughes Marchessaux
The French airline Air Caraïbes has appointed Hughes Marchessaux as general manager of Air Caraïbes Atlantique, the subsidiary which operates transatlantic flights from Paris.
Based at Paris-Orly airport, the "Caribbean and French Guiana specialist airline" employs nearly 600 people, including 77 ground staff, 103 pilots and 414 cabin crew - 60% of whom are based in the Caribbean and French Guiana.
The new CEO has spent his entire career in the airline industry and in particular in flight operations, both passenger and cargo. He has held management positions at Corsair, Air France, Bolloré Transports et Logistics and as director and member of the executive committee at ASL and the air cargo committee at CMA-CGM. His last experience was the creation of the airline CMA CGM Air Cargo in 2021. (cj)
