AI-driven buildings with NTT platform

NTT Com Asia has introduced ‘Ocean Intelligence’ in Hong Kong, an AI-powered open platform designed to enhance smart building management.

The platform aims to integrate AI into every building through an open partner system, as the company reports. ‘Ocean Intelligence’ is built on three pillars, namely openness, a partner system and quality data. The platform enables real-time AI-driven insights. One application, developed with Carnot Innovations, optimises chiller plant energy use to reduce costs and emissions.

“With the global smart building market projected to reach USD 359 billion by 2035, we’re creating significant business opportunities for our partners,” says Steven So, senior vice-president of NTT Com Asia (pictured, on the left). The platform is already in use at NTT facilities and aims to expand internationally. (js)
