AF-KLM expands a strategic partnership
AF-KLM has signed an extension to a ‘power-by-the-hour contract’ (engine-change programme; PBHC) with Air China Cargo (ACC), through the former company’s unit called Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M). The unit has already supported ACC with a PBHC for its GE90 engines since 2015.
This latest extension will secure support for new aircraft joining Air China Cargo’s fleet, bringing the decade-old partnership to a new level. The extension adds scope to the agreement by incorporating additional Boeing B777Fs in the contract; they’re equipped with GE90-110B engines.
This move underlines how robust the partnership is, and highlights the trust between AFI KLM E&M and ACC. (cj)
