Aerts in Polman's footsteps
Brussels airport has selected Geert Aerts to continue the cargo strategy of recent years and to further develop Brucargo, in cooperation with the cargo community. From 8 March, he will succeed Steven Polmans, who left the company after ten years at the end of 2020, as director cargo & logistics at the Belgian airport.
With a background as industrial engineer, Aerts has been at CAE Inc for 17 years, where, as regional operations director Europe, Africa & Middle-East since 2014, he was responsible for the management of a network of 16 flight simulator training centres and flight schools, including in Brussels.
Piet Demunter, the airport's chief business development officer: "We continue to invest in a strong and dedicated team for our cargo & logistics activities to support the entire industry." (amh)
