Additional space for Milan Bergamo Airport
Milan Bergamo airport has opened the expanded northern apron and a new taxiway designed to support the airport’s growth and enhance the overall efficiency of operations.
The expanded apron now includes three new aircraft stands, bringing the total number of independent stands at the airport to 48 - 17 on the north apron and 31 on the south. This development not only optimises the hub’s operational capacity but also significantly benefits airline partners by reducing runway occupancy times.
Milan Bergamo airport has also inaugurated the new northern taxiway, Taxiway B. This increase in capacity is in line with ongoing efforts to meet traffic growth and optimise the utilisation of the airport’s northern side, primarily for cargo, logistics, and maintenance operations. (cj)
