ACT: operations command centre now online
Aqaba Container Terminal’s (ACT) new operations command centre was recently inaugured by H.E. chief commissioner Al Fayez. At the ceremony, guests and management staff were given the opportunity to observe ACT's handling operations.
A cell model is integrated into the port, equipped with the latest information technology, communication, and management tools to improve the company's operational capabilities and efficiency.
For Nayef Al Fayez, this inauguration is a “testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to both providing state-of-the-art infrastructure and offering its customers world-class services by investing in the most advanced technology and equipment.”
The company has adopted the Crane optical character recognition (OCR) software, a sophisticated tool that automates the process of recording loading and discharging operations at the port. (lh)
