Acquisition of almost 600 more intermodal wagons
Ermewa, part of the French SNCF group, has acquired the intermodal fleet of Macquarie European Rail. Thanks to this acquisition of 60 ft, 80 ft and 90 ft container wagons, the rail wagon lessor Ermewa takes a further step in the intermodal segment and strengthens its position in Germany and the Benelux states. The latest acquisition includes nearly 600 intermodal wagons.
The Ermewa Group, which currently owns a fleet of 42,000 railcars and 35,000 tank containers, also operates six workshops. With the new intermodal wagons acquired from Macquarie European Rail, the company continues to implement its development strategy to deliver solutions to its customers for their rail-based supply chain.
