Achilles and Bimco to improve maritime standards
Bimco and supply chain risk specialist Achilles have launched a partnership to support standardisation and operational resilience in global shipping. The agreement grants Bimco members preferential access to Achilles’ risk management tools.
Bimco is the world’s largest international shipping association, representing over 2,000 members in 130 countries and 62% of global tonnage. Its regulatory, contractual and training expertise complements Achilles’ focus on supplier assurance and ESG compliance. Achilles will also join Bimco’s ‘Technology Partnership Programme’.
“Bimco’s track record is in line with our goal to support members through high-quality services,” said Bimco secretary general David Loosley. Achilles CEO Paul Stanley highlighted the joint aim of helping maritime companies face supply chain challenges with greater confidence. (ah)
