Accumulating Iata Ceiv Pharma certifications
Geodis is continuing to build its network of Iata Ceiv Pharma certified sites in Europe. By the end of 2022, the France-headquartered forwarding group had received the certification for eight sites, i.e. London, Manchester, Frankfurt, Arlanda (Sweden), Budapest, Warsaw, Brussels, on top of the site in Amsterdam, which gained certification in December 2021.
This certification confirms that facilities, equipment, operations, and staff comply with the appropriate applicable standards, guidelines and regulations expected in the pharmaceutical industry. It also ensures international and national compliance to safeguard product integrity while addressing specific air cargo needs in pharma logistics.
Currently, Geodis employs more than 44,000 working staff and is ranked no. 7 in its sector globally. It generated EUR 10.9 billion in revenue in 2021. Figures for FY/2022 have not been released yet. (sh)
