AAL: new ships and charity at Breakbulk Europe
AAL Shipping has ordered two additional 32,000 dwt heavy lift Super B-Class vessels, bringing its new fleet to eight ships. These ships, including the new “AAL Newcastle” and “AAL Mumbai”, feature an 800 t lifting capacity, enhancing the carrier’s ability to transport heavy and complex cargo globally. The expansion increases AAL's fleet tonnage to 831,800 dwt.
At a press conference in Rotterdam, AAL also launched a fundraising campaign, the "AAL Back to the Future Appeal," to support the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. The campaign coincides with Breakbulk Europe 2024, where attendees can donate and see a replica of the DeLorean time machine from the "Back to the Future" films. (pb)
