A321XLR: neither cargo nor Kremlin friendly

The Airbus A321XLR made its first flight in Hamburg yesterday, 15 June 2022. The evolution of the European aircraft manufacturer's medium-haul A321 NEO model advertises a range of 8,700 km, i.e., Rome-New York or Kuala Lumpur-Sydney, which it achieves with efficient engines and a permanently installed tank in the rear fuselage section (RTC).

However, whether the aircraft is suitable for carrying freight is another question. But the exterior of the two prototypes with serial numbers 11058 and 11000 is also interesting, with various locations from around the world visible on their tail fins.

Until May, this included Moscow with the Red Square and St. Basil's Cathedral. In the meantime, however, the Russian capital was first covered and finally pasted over with a view of Quebec. (ah)
