A13 closure: Hupac increases capacities
Because of the damage caused by last week's storms in Switzerland, which also impacted the San Bernardino route, the A13 motorway - the second most important north-south road axis after the Gotthard route - will remain closed to heavy goods traffic for several weeks.
Hupac is now creating additional capacity on the railways from northern Switzerland and southern Germany at short notice.
Specifically, the Swiss intermodal specialist is offering more loading slots on its existing southbound trains from Aarau, Basel and Singen with immediate effect. Hupac will also be deploying additional trains from Singen to Italy, the CT operator said. (ben)
