A unicorn was born - to expand
Two months before the end of the year, Austria-headquartered Cargo-partner exceeded the mark of EUR 1 billion in annual billing for the first time in its existence. The company is thus well on the way to achieving its target of EUR 2 billion in sales by 2025.
Although transport volumes decreased slightly in 2020 compared to the previous year, the company expanded its service portfolio several times, in order to meet the special challenges of its customers in view of Covid-19 transport restrictions and a lack of capacity.
Amongst others, Cargo-partner has been offering several weekly charter flights from China and Hong Kong to Europe, to support customers with their urgent shipments, offered rail transport services on the 'Iron Silk Road' and ran faster alternatives for sea freight transports from Asia to Europe via the Adriatic ports of Koper and Trieste.
Furthermore, founder and CEO Stefan Krauter plans to expand his company, which to date has grown exclusively through organic growth, through acquisitions in 2021. (sh)
