A UK-Turkey FTA
The UK and Turkey are looking to negotiate a new free trade agreement, which is welcomed by companies like the specialist for overland trailer services Davies Turner. The 2020 tariff-free agreement was rolled over from when the UK left the EU and brought benefits to UK importers and exporters, boosting supply chains between both countries.
Davies Turner operates multiple daily two-way overland and multimodal trailer services between the UK and Turkey in a long-standing partnership with Istanbul-based Ekol Logistics.
“An enhanced free trade agreement with Turkey that includes the services and digital sector should open up even more trade and investment opportunities, and assist with the development of strong bilateral relations,” says Alan Williams, company director of Davies Turner. (mk)
